Espasso presents Arthur Casas Made in America exhibit on view in New York until 27 March 2016. The new show unveils never-before-seen furniture pieces all handcrafted in Brooklyn by Casas, the critically acclaimed Brazilian architect and designer. The show explores his ability to design cross-culturally and across disciplines.

The beautifully designed pieces feature the fibonacci bookcase, crafted from stained American walnut and blackened steel; rectangular coffee table made from stained American walnut and blacked steel; square coffee table comprised of travertine and blacked steel; copacabana sideboard handcrafted of American walnut; and the tiles coffee table made of limestone and blackened steel. The furniture expresses an active exchange between his Brazilian roots and handcrafted work in America.

Casas is a master of many disciplines, including designing furniture, interiors and home accessories. He premieres new home accessories designed and made in Brazil, as well as previously released works: the AC Dining Table, Zumbi Chaise, Quilombo Desk and the Ondas Sideboard, made in America and Brazil.

The furniture opening also serves as the American launch of the new monograph Studio Arthur Casas Works 2008-2015. The publication is the most recent survey of his latest projects, including vision buildings, interiors and designs. He has built projects in Tokyo, Paris, New York, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. It gives insight into his creative process through text, photos and drawings.

Espasso is the New York City showroom known for modern and contemporary Brazilian furniture, art and design objects. It will exhibit Arthur Casas Made in America until 27 March.
