With the Chinese market continuing to show strong signs of rejuvenation, the Autumn Edition of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles (ISHT) will be held again from August 23 to 26, making itself the ideal occasion to facilitate business in Asia for European companies. China’s GDP in 2016 recorded a 6.7% increase, reaching USD 10.7 trillion, while the total sales of consumer goods last year also rose 10.4% to nearly USD 4.8 trillion.

The prevalent whole-home trend in China also stimulates the market as a whole, pointed out Ms Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd: “The synergy among products, especially those between home textile products and furniture will result in more sales.”In response to the strong demand for home textiles products, around 1,200 top suppliers from around the world will be at the fair presenting their latest product collections to buyers.

Leading domestic and international suppliers to present the latest original products

With increasingly high quality and competitive prices, Chinese home textile products are gaining in competitiveness, while the government’s recent national 13th Five-Year Plan encourages the industry to upgrade by incorporating more innovative ideas and advanced technology. What’s more, Chinese suppliers are no longer limited to resellers nor agents of foreign brand names, but are also capable of producing high-end products and developing their own brands. Among the Chinese exhibitors, there is no lack of companies equipped with both sophisticated design and production ability. Yuanzhicheng Home Textile and Zhejiang Maya Fabrics are some of these exhibitors who have been cooperating with cosmopolitan designers in getting the finest design for their products.

To satisfy buyers with various sourcing needs, the show will also feature universal big names from different product sectors. German brand JAB Anstoetz will be providing a series of delicate appliques to household textile decoration products, while the UK’s Prestigious will offer a diverse range of fabrics for drapes and upholstery, wallcoverings and home decor accessories. Some of the other leading suppliers also include D Decor, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of woven curtains and upholstery, and Advansa Marketing, the leading German supplier of polyester fibres.
