For his latest project, Swiss-born, London-based multidisciplinary artist Rolf Sachs has designed the interior of the newly restaurant Saltz at the Dolder Grand Hotel in Zurich. Inspired by elements of the local landscape and culture, the 280-square-meter dining room is characterized by monochromatic walls and seating areas alongside iconic chairs by Eero Saarinen and Jean Prouvé. Signature touches include the neon “horizon” as well as flourishes in materials such as salt, rock, and felt.

To complement Sachs’ design, Chef à la Carte Patrick Hetz has created an all-day menu, including a Sunday brunch, of international cuisine featuring locally sourced produce. In addition to Saltz, dining options at the five-star Dolder Grand hotel also include Chef Heiko Nieder’s Restaurant, with two Michelin stars.
