Heimtextil 2024
The 2024 edition of Heimtextil opens on January 9, 2024 with an increased focus on sustainability and a 24/25 trends focus on “New Sensitivity”.
From 9 to 12 January 2024, Heimtextil, the globally recognised textile trade show in Frankfurt, will welcome 2600 international exhibitors who will present their latest products for home and contract textiles. This year is marked by increased growth and a stronger positioning around sustainable events and sustainable activities in the market and a 24/25 trends focus on “New Sensitivity”.
The 2024 fair will see two new exhibition halls; Hall 5.1 for Carpets & Rugs will include fitted, handmade and made-to-measure carpets along with machine-made woven carpets and related styles and products. As this is a very high-demand sector, it will continue to have its own area to allow for more focus and clearer presentation. This year will feature 75-exhibitors from Bangladesh, Turkey and Egypt among other countries. Hall 10.4 will focus on Asian exhibitors with a look at industrial to handcrafted goods and highlighting workmanship, colour concept and materials among others. In addition, this year will see the reopening of the section for wall decoration, textile design and textile technology and there will be an expanded range of Fibres and Yarns segment.
Messe Frankfurt is also launching a new format under the name of ‘Econogy’, a title which illustrates the holistic link between the economy and ecology. At Heimtextil 2024, this means more active and precise approaches to promote and engage sustainable brands and actions. A directory will help visitors find certified exhibitors with sustainable products, for example, and all exhibitors will undergo sustainability checks to offer transparent and clear data. There will also be a host of events and discussions around this theme with key speakers in the field.
The 2024/2-25 Heimtextil Trends, titled “New Sensitivity”, will look at textile transformation, and aims to show new possibilities in the world of textiles that are sensitive to our current times. This includes plant-based production of textiles, the improved use of technology, the bioengineered use of natural ingredients, regenerative materials and designs.
