After graduating in architecture, interior architecture and environmental design, Tokyo-native Kaoru Urata turned her hand to journalism and translation/interpreting. Based in Paris, she contributes to specialist Japanese magazines and is interested in all forms of creative expression. She is in charge of overseas training at the Ecole Boulle with the emphasis on foreign students from Japan.
