Alfredo Häberli’s Residence CPH at the Swiss Embassy
For 3daysofdesign, the Swiss Embassy in Copenhagen will host an exhibition of the country’s top design talents, curated by Alfredo Häberli.
From this Thursday until Saturday, 26–28 May, the Swiss Embassy in Copenhagen will open its doors for 3daysofdesign, the citywide festival that brings design professionals, press, and enthusiasts together in the Danish capital. As with the festival itself, the embassy will host an exhibition and events in its exquisite landmarked building on the waterfront in the north of Copenhagen.
Curated by Alfredo Häberli, Residence CPH at the Swiss Embassy showcases the country’s top design talents, from emerging practitioners to established ones, alongside manufacturers. Visitors are invited to relax in the “Landi Garden” by Vitra, featuring Hans Coray’s famous chair of the same name, and enjoy a coffee or test ride an electric bicycle, among other Swiss products on view. Meanwhile, Danish company Add a Room will also present a production model of its “small house”, designed by Lars Frank Nielsen of 3XN.
In anticipation of the event, Häberli has shared a series of collages to represent the galleries at the embassy. On Friday, 27 May, he will take the stage with Anne-Louise Sommer from the Designmuseum Danmark and Mateo Kries from the Vitra Design Museum for a talk on Two Design Traditions. Check out the 3daysofdesign at the Swiss Embassy event page for opening hours and more details.
