Following a very successful 2015 edition, the MINDCRAFT exhibition returned to Milan’s Brera District for a second Salone running. Previously sited in Zona Tortona and subsequently Ventura Lambrate, last year’s move to the city centre proved to be a good decision, as the 2015 showcase of Danish design and craft garnered coveted accolades, winning both a Milano Design Award and a German Design Award.

Danish-Italian design duo GamFratesi reprised their curatorial effort this year, for the eighth edition of the show. Presented by the Danish Arts Foundation, MINDCRAFT16 took place at Circolo Filologico, an institution for studying the origins of texts and literature. With the theme of “In My Mind Craft”, GamFratesi paid homage to the venue by broadly tracing the design process back to its origins, in the brain.

MINDCRAFT16: In My Mind Craft” participants included Benandsebastian, Anne Dorthe Vester and Maria Bruun, Christina Schou Christensen, Rosa Tolnov Clausen, Freya Dalsjø, Dark Matters, Yuki Ferdinandsen, Halstrøm-Odgaard, Ole Jensen, Irv Johnson Music, Marianne Krumbach, Akiko Kuwahata, Cecilie Manz, Nicholas Nybro, Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt, Øivind Alexander Slaatto and Henrik Vibskov.
