Glass and Ceramics Triennial 2013
Today the European Triennial of Ceramics and Glass starts and will be held from 19 October until 5 January 2014 in the Grand
Hall of the Old Slaughterhouse site of Mons (Anciens Abattoirs).
Established artists and talented newcomers will interact in a setting designed by the ceramicist Jean-Claude
Legrand. More soon…
An event with a Belgian and European dimension.
The third triennial presents the works of 37 glass and ceramic artists.
Two European countries are invited to join Belgium in the framework of each triennial. This year France and
Norway have agreed to participate. In each of these count ries the WCC-BF has worked with a partner
association for the general organisation of the event and a curator who was responsible for selecting works
that are representative of these art forms in his or her country.
The WCC-BF is organising this event, under the patronage of the French and Norwegian Embassies, in
partnership with the Museum Division of the City of Mons, the Ateliers d’Art de France and Norwegian Crafts.
It enjoys the support of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and Design Flanders.
