Ambiente, the leading international consumer goods trade fair, opens its doors from January 26-30, 2024 in Messe Frankfurt.
Between January 26-30, 2024, Ambiente brings together designers, professionals, and industry insiders for five-days, offering takes on new design trends, innovations, and ideas. With its diversity of exhibitors in themes such as Sustainability, Lifestyle and Design, New Work, Future Retail and Digital Expansion of Trade, there are hundreds of objects and items to experience in tableware, glassware, paper goods, kitchenware, office accessories, hospitality and interior design and home accessories. Ambiente has served as a leading voice in the field of design and this year they have expanded on their Designer Community initiative by having a Designer Day on the Saturday of the event. Five designers will engage in conversation about certain themes such as “Material Health”, the power of colour, offering insight about their work and current themes.
Milan-based artist and designer, Elena Salmistraro, is the 2024 Ambiente Designer and has curated a show titled, ‘The Lounge – A Serious Game’, an ode to humorous design, in which colour and unusual colour combinations play an important role. In Galleria 1, she presents her vision of a multifunctional living space between interior design and hospitality stating, “I have opted for a theme that offers an innovative perspective, not through a formally strict approach, but with a cheerful look at contemporary design and a focus on the pursuit of happiness.”
The Living area, dedicated to furniture, lighting and decorative accessories features established brands and manufacturers along with up & coming labels. “At Living, everything revolves around atmospheric presentations of trendy living concepts and freshly launched products – which not only brighten up private homes, but also enhance commercial spaces in hotels, restaurants, yachts and co-working spaces,” says Yvonne Engelmann, Director Living, Giving, Working. The Talents program offers new brands, students and entrepreneurs a way to promote their ideas and work and are offered free exhibition space in the special designed area, giving access to industry and contract buyers.
“With around 300 exhibitors in Hall 4.2, visitors to Ambiente Giving at Urban Gifts, Stationery & School can expect an exceptionally diverse, high-quality and attractive range of products for both core and additional assortments. In addition, we offer a unique platform here with the greatest density of international writing utensil brands and high-quality stationery”, emphasises Engelmann.
Last year, the fair launched a new initiative to feature two other leading trade shows at Messe Frankfurt at the same time: Christmasworld and Creativeworld. This offers visitors the opportunity to expand their experience and business connections in the same weekend.
As always, Ambiente has a host of events, talks and exchanges throughout the fair with its Conzoom Solutions Academy, which presents itself as a platform for top speakers and provides the latest industry topics, fresh impulses and creative tips for the point of sale. Organized around themes such as the future of retail, AI and sustainability, for a more focused engagement.
