Brussels Design September is a festival dedicated to the design and is an ideal networking platform for all public relations and communications for all brands. This festival encompasses over 100 cultural and Commercial events in Brussels. During a month, from 10 to 30 September 2015, the city becomes the meeting platform for numerous Belgian and international designers as the European Design Capital. This year, it will be a special year with its 10th Anniversary. Since January the artistic direction and organization has been the responsibility of Roel Rijssenbeek. The program proposed by Roel will be marked by all latest trends in Belgian and international design with exhibitions, open doors, conferences, Arts & Crafts routes, films, the Commerce Design Brussels or the Brussels Design Market and so on. Indeed there will be so many places for dialogue and meetings between designers, architects and design enthusiasts. It will be a true urban route to be discovered in the stores, pop-up stores, galleries, cultural spaces.

One of this activity is the group exhibition tilted Confronting the Master at Design Vlaanderen Galerie which will take place from 4 September to 3 October, 2015.

Here is a video (unfortunately in French but perfect to get an overview of the event) about the last edition in 2014:

La Galerie Patinoire Royale Bach presents Geneviève Levivier: Un Arbre á Soi, a solo show of 11 weavings and 4 large laser artworks, which are made with an innovative laser technique created by the artist. Levivier creates a dialogue between the manual and technical as well as with natural fibres and mixed media. Through her unique processes that build up and take away materials, her work refers to the growth of nature and its destruction. They are like a metaphor of life, which advances by adding experiences and the subtractive experience of time. All of the work is about finding the balance point between those extremes.
