The fascination for colour in Ane Vester‘s work (1963) cannot be ignored.  Colour as a catalyst for memory and association has always been of great interest to this Danish artist.  Through paintings on glass or plexy subtle nuances of light and transparency escapes, whereby Ane Vester suggests a visual experience that undertakes an instant dialogue with urban or interior space. She often cites a characteristic colour, and thus highlights the aesthetic dimension of the surroundings whilst also making reference to the unconscious presence of art in the everyday environment.

The selection has been done by Archetype Gallery.
