Expo: Dito from scratch 2011/ Grand-Hornu Images
Started in 2006, the Dito collective brings together 8 young designers from the same generation, students of various French design schools (Reims Graduate Art and Design School, Paris National Graduate Decorative
Arts School, Nantes-Atlantique Design School). Contradicting an era where processes are often personal, Dito’s ambition is to imagine an open, collaborative working method where dialoguing, exchanging, and sharing are favored forces for contemporary design. Until May 29 Dito is presenting in Grand-Hornu Images its entire process and research through a furniture series – storage, seating, tables, lighting – in singular, poetic shapes. Based on a scene design specially conceived for the Grand-Hornu, ‘Dito from scratch 2011’ brings together models, drawings, videos and photographs staged in domestic environments jeux gonflables.
