Fredrikson Stallard Present Glaciarium Collection for Swarovski
The new “Glaciarium” chandeliers by Fredrikson Stallard for Swarovski will debut at the duo’s studio during London Design Festival 2016, alongside the collection for Atelier Swarovski Home.
During London Design Festival 2016, Swarovski is presenting the new “Glaciarium” collection by Fredrikson Stallard. Four chandeliers will debut at the duo’s London studio, alongside the housewares collection which was previewed in Milan and will be presented in the UK for the first time. Like the Glaciarium vases, bowls, and candle-holders, the new lighting designs — Avalon, Helios, Superline and Voltaire — are inspired by the form of raw crystal.
The chandeliers are made from Glaciarium crystal components, which will be unveiled in London. Developed specifically for the interior lighting industry, this marks the first time that Swarovski has invited an external studio to create crystal chandelier components.
Fredrikson Stallard has been on the crystal brand’s go-to list of avant-garde studios for nearly a decade now. They were among the designers who launched the Atelier Swarovski Home collection earlier this year, following the success of the jewelry and accessories collaborations. Founded by Nadja Swarovski in 2007, the seasonal collections are intended to push the boundaries of crystal innovation.
