Kengo Kuma, Lunch with an Architect
Lunch with an Architect is a place of reflection and exchange to advance architectural quality in Brussels. Through three meetings a year, offers an Architect Lunch with the real estate world, in collaboration with Flagey, a window on major news from the world of architecture, specifically Belgian thematic, innovations and iconic works in progress. To open this season – 21 September – the guest of honor is one of the most influential Japanese architects: Kengo Kuma. Its architecture expresses a poem made of light, transparency and dialogue materials. He won many international awards. His achievements are available in Japan, in many Asian countries, the United States and Europe. The architecture ensures create in all circumstances a balance with the environment so that for each new constructions are naturally finds its place, as if it had always been there. The simplicity of the architectural gesture and a large place to the use of natural materials inspired by traditional Japanese architecture.
