Zona Maco, Latin America’s leading art fair celebrates twenty years in 2024, with a diverse yet comprehensive program that includes 212 exhibitors from 25 countries. In addition to the Zona Maco Contemporary Art section for which the fair is widely known, Zona Maco now encompasses specially dedicated areas in design, antiques and photography, as well as an extensive off-sight programming across Mexico City in galleries, museums, and cultural centres.

Founded by Zélika Garcia in 2004, the Zona Maco 2024 artistic director is curator Dirella Lazo (Havana, 1984), with Esteban King (Mexico, 1986), as curator of the Arte Moderno section, Luiza Teixeira de Freitas (Rio de Janeiro, 1984) as curator of the Zona Maco Sur section. Other fair curator include Bernardo Mosqueira (Rio de Janeiro, 1988) who joins the team as curator of the emerging Ejes section, Luis Graham Castillo (Dominican Republic, 1982) as curator of the Photo section, and Alfonso Miranda (Mexico City, 1978), as curator of the Antiques section.

The design fair is overseen by artistic director, Cecilia León de la Barra and will feature 31 exhibitors from Mexico City, the United States, Spain and the UK, as well as an emerging section that will showcase 30 projects specially selected for the fair.

New to the fair this year is FORMA, a special program in which galleries with the longest track record at the fair will present historical or site-specific projects. Also, to mark the 20th anniversary, there will be a broad program of conversations with national and international panellists, special editorial publications and extensive parallel activities across Mexico City.

Zona Maco will take place between February 7-11, 2024 at the Centro Citibanamex in Mexico City.
