Berluti x Ceccotti Collezioni
Storied shoemaker Berluti partnered with furniture maker Ceccotti Collezioni to produce a pair of luxe pieces: the paraventi and a valet that evoke a certain old-world charm.
In the face of the novelty and spectacle of the Salone del Mobile, storied shoemaker Berluti partnered with furniture maker Ceccotti Collezioni to produce a pair of luxe pieces, tailored to the modern gentleman. Together, the paraventi, or folding screen, and valet, a 1992 Roberto Lazzeroni design, evoke a certain old-world charm, reimagined in the Parisian label’s signature Venezia leather in one of four colors.
Now in its fourth generation, Berluti expanded its expertise to leather goods in 2005; from oxfords to the new furniture pieces, its products have long been coveted for both the leather, tanned in Verona from calves raised in northern France, and the craftsmanship. In fact, Berluti’s workshop in Ferrara is just 200km from Ceccotti’s production facilities in Cascina, Pisa, where the furniture brand transforms ash wood from Finland into fine residential furnishings. Details include wood-framed glass shelves and brass hardware to match the frame of the mirror.
The Berluti x Ceccotti Collezioni may harken back to a bygone era, but premium materials and impeccable craftsmanship remain timeless.
