Liminal – Irish Design at the Threshold
Following in a year-long Irish Design 2015 programme, the cultural initiative mounts exhibition Liminal – Irish Design at the Threshold at Dutch Design Week from 17 to 25 October 2015. Bringing together a wide range of craft-oriented, accessory and tech-based designers from the Emerald Island, this showcase sheds light on a country little talked about in the design sphere. Highlights include the innovative Damien Murtagh’s Arckit – a groundbreaking, scaled, freeform modelling system allowing architects to physically explore designs and bring their projects to life with speed and precision.
With the Liminal – Irish Design at the Threshold held in Eindhoven’s iconic Klokgebouw building, airborne pathogen control technology developer Novaerus collaborates with Irish design consultancy Dolmen for a clean air space, which extends the experiential nature of this showcase. With the latest in 3D-printing abound, delicate furniture and objects appear from well known Irish designers like Claire Anne O’Brien, Ceadogán Rugs, Alexander Gulfer, Designgoat, Derek Wilson and many more.
Liminal – Irish Design at the Threshold runs from 17 to 25 October 2015 at Klokgebouw during Dutch Design Week.
