Czech glassworks and lighting expert Brokis debuts Night Birds by Boris Klimek at Designblok Prague (22 – 27 October) and at Neue Räume Zurich (18 – 22 November). These new lighting solutions come out of a long process of testing new technologies including kiln casting, glass shard moulds and water-jet cutting, as well as recycling glass waste from the production of other collections. For this reason, each piece is unique. Inspired by the grace and freedom of birds flying against night skies, these pendant lamps are destined for both private and public applications as they can be grouped together in ‘flocks.’
