Nordic Jewelery: ‘From the coolest corner’ exhibition
The Museum of Decorative and Design of Oslo, part of the National Museum is hosting the contemporary jewelery exhibition, ‘From the coolest corner’. This exhibition focuses on the experimental studio works of the most important Nordic and Baltic designers from the sixties, Sigurd Bronger, Kim Buck and Konrad Mehus, among others.
The exhibition includes also, creations of the young generation’s designers such as Sirja Knaapi, Helga Ragnhildur Mogensen and Anna Talbot. The aim of this exhibition is to convey the idea that the contemporary Nordic Jewellery is expressive, reflexive and at the same time “cool”.
‘From the coolest corner’ is a collaboration between the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, the Norwegian Association for Arts and Crafts and the National Museum, the exhibition will run until 21 of April 2013 in Oslo. As a touring exhibition through different European countries, the next venue will be held at The DesignMuseum Finland in Helsinki.
