Until the 31st of January 2011, La Pedrera de CatalunyaCaixa hosts an exhibition showcasing an eclectic body of work created by Javier Mariscal and Estudio Mariscal over the last forty years!  Best known perhaps for creating Cobi, the mascot of the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, Mariscal’s prolific output includes furniture for companies such as Moroso and Magis, the complete design of the Gran Hotel Domine Bilbao and the H&M shop on Portal de l’Àngel in Barcelona; the visual identity of the town of Gavà, Barcelona Zoo and the Framestore company in London; the image and PR for Camper for Kids and the 32nd America’s Cup; the sculptural pergola of the Río Hortega Hospital in Valladolid; and the feature-length animated film Chico & Rita, due to be released in the very near future.
