Last november Gubi opened its first Copenhagen storefront – the first retail shop designed specifically to showcase the increasingly large collection of modern furniture classics that the design house offers clients today.

“Today, the GUBI collection has reached a level of maturity that I feel makes this the perfect time – we have developed a series of classics and also taken just the right amount of chances on new designers to give us stability and edge. I believe that the GUBI customers, whether new or old, are always looking to and very much deserve to experience our brand in the right universe and setting, what was always intended!” – Jacob Gubi

Founded in 1967, Gubi has long been one of Denmark’s leading furniture and lighting design manufacturers. Its products are innovative, functional and experiencing success on a national and international level. Jacob Gubi – the brand’s chief creative officer – is the son of the brand’s founders Lisbeth and Olsen Gubi. The driving forced behind this brand, is to be particularly sensitive and respectful to the environment. Gubi does not hesitate to reproduce prestigious editions. The goal is to revisit classic Danish, Scandinavian and International designs.

With this retail shop, Gubi is now able to show the extent of Danish design. For Jacob Gubi, this space is the next chapter in Gubi’s family history.
