As a series of intimate interiors, Hope Keeper wall installations contain small strips of paper, recollecting our desires, secrets and ambitions. With small niches holding anonymous thoughts, this installation by interdisciplinary Chilean firm gt2P (Great Things to People) offers a level of interaction that art design pieces don’t alway allow for. A first iteration was mounted by Paris-based Galerie Gosserez during the PAD Paris, with a second version –appropriately oriented to participant’s dream vacations – was presented as part of Airbnb‘s Belong.Here.Now urban forum during this year’s Design Miami/. However different in colour, both wall installations were composed of laser pre-cuts, folded and assembled by hand; forms inspired by crustaceans colonies found on Chile’s Pacific coast. Nostalgic correlations are not lost on passersby.
