The Local Icons – Greetings from Rome
For the Locals Icons – Greatings from Rome exhibition at MAXXI – 26 March to 7 June 2015 – 7 actors of contemporary design have been invited to interpret personal memories of Rome into a series of designs. Brewed out of the collaboration between Alcantara and MAXXI – the National Museum of the XXI century – both partners undertake a journey in search of images that define the places of memory specific to a culture and to evaluated them on different conceptual levels. Together, they emphasise the common dialogue between creativity and research; the deep attention paid to the most diverse languages, experimentations and cultural innovations.
