No Sex by Atelier Biagetti
Atelier Biagetti collaborates with Maria Cristina Didero to stage No Sex: a Pink Clinic promoting abstinence with leather and metal clad furnishings.
Conceptual message doesn’t limit itself to the design of singular objects anymore but rather entire – however select – collections articulated in thematic sceongraphies. Keeping their Milan Design Week audience on their toes after last year’s Body Building showcase, Atelier Biagetti delved deeper into the human psyche and mounted No Sex. Curated by Maria Cristina Didero, this holistic installation staged Atelier Biagetti limited edition furniture in something of a Pink Clinic: a retreat from our sex-crazed culture. Ironically, these highly-crafted daybeds, chairs, lamps, table, curtains and Ophthalmologists-inspired mirrors were produced in champagne-pink leather and metal finishes to not only reflect medicine but also anthropomorphic forms.
