Shanghai-based Stellar Works made a strong showing at the Fuorisalone this year, unveiling its first collaboration with American architect and designer David Rockwell. Comprising 14 pieces in all, the extensive “Valet” collection marks a multifaceted presentation of a single overarching aesthetic. From seating and surfaces to a variety of function-specific shelves — and, of course, a valet — the pieces in the new collection can be deployed in different combinations to bring an understated elegance to any home or hospitality setting.
The sensuous yet hard-wearing materials and finishes, such as brass-plated stainless steel and full-grain saddle leather, express a sense of both luxury and reliability, in keeping with contemporary trends while arising from the specific needs and desires of the design team at Rockwell Group. The “Valet” collection made its debut at the Wallpaper* Arcade during the 2016 Salone del Mobile.
