Southern Guild’s newest collection of African design is worth looking out for at Design Miami/Basel, from November 30 to December 4, 2016.

The bold yet sophisticated collection includes fantasy creatures appearing as functional accessories by newcomer Atang Tshikare. Porky Hefer’s animal-form nesting environments, fresh from the London Design Biennale. The dramatic ceramics of Andile Dyalvane, recently lauded for a groundbreaking solo show at Friedman Benda in New York. Dokter and Misses’ servers inspired by traditional Kassena architecture, currently featured in the Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial. Singular jewellery, tables, tapestries, lights and ceramics by other designers will complete this exhibition of deluxe African Fantasia at its best.

Southern Guild has led the collectible African design category since 2008, nurturing artist-designers to redefine the continent’s creative oeuvre.
