Returning to Brussels’ iconic Tour & Taxis venue from January 21-25, 2026, ceramic brussels has rapidly evolved into the world’s premier international platform dedicated exclusively to contemporary ceramics. Now in its third edition, the fair has grown exponentially since its 2024 debut, establishing itself as the essential gathering point for collectors, institutions, and ceramics enthusiasts worldwide.

This year’s edition brings together 75 Belgian and international exhibitors showcasing over 200 artists from approximately thirty countries. The fair’s ambitious scope reflects the medium’s growing prominence in contemporary art, with participating galleries ranging from established names like Galerie Vallois and Galerie Levebre from Paris to emerging spaces such as Spain’s Al-Tiba9 Gallery and Turkey’s ANNA LAUDEL. Spazio Nobile will present a curated selection of ceramic and glass works by artists including François Azambourg, Liu Chien Kuang, Marie Corbin, Laura Laine, Piet Stockmans and many others.

Other notable presentations include 20 solo exhibitions, among them French artist Léonore Chastagner, winner of the 2025 art prize Jury Prize.

A centrepiece of the 2026 edition is Austrian artist Elmar Trenkwalder as guest of honour. For over forty years, Trenkwalder has created monumental sculptures that blend baroque opulence with Asian architectural influences. His exhibition, presented in collaboration with Galerie Bernard Jordan, will greet visitors at the fair’s entrance—a fitting introduction to the medium’s sculptural possibilities.

The fair’s focus España highlights the vibrant Spanish ceramics scene, featuring seven galleries from Barcelona to Seville, presented alongside EUROPALIA ESPAÑA programming. A poignant tribute to recently deceased Spanish artist Enric Mestre (1936–2025) adds gravitas to this celebration, developed with Modern Shapes Gallery and the Spanish Embassy.

The ceramic brussels art prize 2026 continues the fair’s commitment to emerging talent. Ten laureates selected by an international jury will be showcased in “Vestiges 2.0,” a free exhibition conceived as an “archaeology of the future” by A S C P Studio. This innovative presentation, accessible at the fair entrance, positions contemporary ceramics as tomorrow’s artefacts.

Beyond the booths, the fair offers substantial programming including twelve talks over three days featuring 45 speakers from ten countries, and Discovery Tours by Puilaetco providing expert-guided exploration. Four specialized art publishers—including Germany’s Arnoldsche Art Publishers and Latvia’s Centre for Contemporary Ceramics—offer deeper scholarly engagement.

With 20,000 visitors expected and an Exhibition Pass providing access to four partner institutions including Centrale for contemporary art and BPS22, ceramic brussels 2026 positions itself not merely as a marketplace but as a comprehensive celebration of clay’s endless creative possibilities in contemporary art.
