Cutting edge design house Good Thing celebrates its success in 2016 with a new series of everyday tools. Seven new products join the Brooklyn platform’s growing gamut. The new additions to an already extensive offering debuted at NY Now last week. From the new USB-charged Signal Flashlight by Belgian star Sylvain Wilenz, a jar-like glass-blown tea or coffee filter by Studio Gorm, to a reformed dustpan by Christopher Specce, the new collection keeps utility in mind. This vision even incorporates the sensory value of scent. Phil Procter’s Gully Incense Holder employs the advantage of computer-aided machining to accommodate the age-old tradition of burning incense. Though working with new materials, Good Think maintains its colourfully minimalistic aesthetic in tactic. With a growing set of production capabilities and network of talents, Good Thing sets its sights on a fruitful new year. Look for a full profile of Good Thing in TLmag 27 New New York – out in early May.
