Until the first week of August, 21_21 Design Sight in Tokyo hosts a series of works by Japanese designer Shiro Kuramata and Italian icon Ettore Sottsass.  The exchange between the two designers started at the beginning of the 1980s with the “Memphis” collective that turned the design world on its head. Both designers felt constrained by modernism and shared a passion for design that brings joy and a sense of surprise to life.
