Good Luck! New Experiments is an exciting group exhibition featuring works by Foyer Brisé (NL), Audrey Guimard (FR), Liu Chien Kuang (TW/SE), Isaac Monté (BE), Mathiew Peyroulet (FR), Jacqueline Surdell (US), Fenna van der Klei (NL), Quentin Vuong (FR), and Did NG Wing Yin (HK/FI). Spazio Nobile brings together both emerging and established talents, some of whom have previously exhibited with the gallery while for others, it will be their first collaboration. The project was conceived especially for COLLECTIBLE.

With materials including ceramic, glass, recycled textiles, stone and wood, these artists and designers are creating unique objects, some functional while others more experimental and decorative. At the heart of each piece is a shared love of the handmade, material and material experimentation, and a passion for their work.

A selection of featured artists includes: Fenna van der Klei is an artistic studio for textile and product design, offering limited editions for the spaces that house us. The studio is based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Paying homage to the rich textile history of her homeland, van der Klei works with traditional techniques that she brings into the present by bold graphic patterns, modern colours and contemporary finishes; Didi NG Wing Yi is a Helsinki- based artist-designer born in Hong Kong. Upon completing a Master of Arts degree in Interior Architecture from Aalto University in 2023, he specialised in woodworking in both sculptural and functional furniture an objects. Didi’s artistic creations focus on craftsmanship and material culture. He aspires to broaden the concept of woodworking and contemporary design by emphasising the essence of wood in its materiality through conceptual thinking, experimental surface treatment, and carving techniques; Quentin Vuong is a designer-scenographer whose aesthetic approach seeks to compose with matter, texture and form in order to create emotions. He uses pure, raw and even primitive forms, which he interprets and isolates thanks to a clever play on photographic composition and drawing; Liu Chien-Kuang born 1988 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. As a glass designer and maker, he has been greatly influenced by many different cultures and glass-making techniques today. His goal is to explore a new phase of glass-making, by combining old techniques with new knowledge; Audrey Guimard is an artist-sculptor and scenographer. A great admirer of nature and a fervent advocate of awareness in our ways of creating and experiencing art, she equally creates monumental pieces or smaller objects. Committed to collective projects, she recently participated in Hermès’ Académie des Savoir-Faire to question ancestral know- how and the contemporaneity of stone.

Good Luck! New Experiments will be on view at COLLECTIBLE 2024 in the Vanderborght Building from March 7-10th, 2024.
