The Savoir-Faire of Maison Vervloet and its twenty craftsmen shows itself in a Pop-Up Store from 25 February to 17 May 2016, in Brussels. Created in 1905 and specialized in handcrafted decorative hardware made in Belgium, the particularity of their products is the noble character of the materials they are made in the form of alloys such as brass and bronze.Every door handle has the power to tip the atmosphere of a room by arousing emotions and calling out to stop and pet the object Art. With its century of history, this master-creator of high-end will propose a new identity and a new challenge due to their new partnerships with famous designers such as Jean François d’Or, Nedda or India Mahdavi for their new collection named Bubbles Collection.

“Curved shapes are for me the real antidote to all that is cold, bland, to all that which disrupts the natural beauty of life.” Imagined as “bubble dreams”, India Mahdavi’s Bubbles collection for Vervloet embodies the alliance between simplicity and femininity, through the intersection of pure and absolute geometric shapes: the sphere and the cylinder. Gently perched, like birds on a branch, they transport us in their song.

The Pop-Up Store is from 25 February until 17 May 2016 at Place Georges Brugmann 20, B-1050 Brussels.

Levivier creates a dialogue between the manual and technical as well as with natural fibres and mixed media. Through her unique processes that build up and take away materials, her work refers to the growth of nature and its destruction. They are like a metaphor of life, which advances by adding experiences and the subtractive experience of time. All of the work is about finding the balance point between those extremes.
