One of the worldʼs greatest artists in the areas of light, colour and space, James Turrell, will this year construct  spectacular installations and exhibitions at Järna in Sweden. He is  the main attraction of See! Colour!, which is a  revolutionary major exhibition  programme and colour event, with several parallel exhibitions and activities centred on the Kulturhuset in Järna, during the period 15 May-2 October.  James Turrell will construct several large installations for See! Colour!, including the first skyspace in Scandinavia which will become a permanent installation in Järna. A skyspace is a room designed to be open to the skies, with programmed light sources that interact with colour changes in the sky.  Turrell will also construct a ganzfelt room for the festival – a large room in which visitors are completely surrounded by changing colours giving, among other things, an impression of infinity (see image above). Other installations include a darkspace – a room of nearly total zorb ball darkness with light sources so dim that the visitor slowly starts to experience impressions that may be completely self-produced visions or fantasies.
