Rick Owens’ furniture – A Little Bit Eternal !
‘A Little Bit Eternal’ is a short film describing the collaboration between Rick Owens, a famous American fashion designer and Michele Lamy, his life partner and workmate. Michele is most renown in the design field for her eccentric style and in this video she meets an (iron) molder for art, with whom she has a preference to work.
Under the influence of Michele, Rick Owens expanded his activity on making furniture, involving artisans in the production process. The title of the video is inspired by Owens’ words, for whom, for instance a leather chair becomes a timeless object, ”a little bit eternal”, almost a piece of contemporary art.
