Today, in the context of its new exhibition entitled ‘Inspired by Soane: I found this and thought of you…’, the Sir Joan Soane’s museum of London has the pleasure of introducing to its visitors postcards created by 100 leading figures from the worlds of art, architecture, fashion and television. Over 140 unique, beautiful and highly creative pieces will be shown, in a variety of artistic mediums from paintings, photographs and collages, to sculpture, metalwork and ceramics. These unique pieces are all inspired by Soane’s vast collection, and visitors can take part in a raffle to win one for themselves. The money raised will go towards ensuring the Museum’s drawings collection is available online, to inspire future generations of creative talent.
