Spazio Nobile at The Rooms at Mix Brussels
Inspired by alternative art fairs in New York, Brussels, and Bangkok, art dealer Patrick Mestdagh and gallerist Sébastien Janssen (Sorry We’re Closed) present The Rooms, a new Brussels-based art and antiques fair. Spazio Nobile will present a special exhibition curated by Lise Coirier and Giuseppe Simeone.
Curated by Lise Coirier & Gian Giuseppe Simeone, this Spring selection at the Rooms unveils new and recent works by more than 20 contemporary artists and designers. At the intersection of fine art and applied design, Spazio Nobile confirms its commitment to bridging disciplines, honouring material intelligence, and offering a platform for emerging and established voices in collectible art and design.
The room presentation features work by Pierre Charrié, Florence Coenraets, Marie Corbin, Foyer Brisé, Vincent Fournier, Éva Garcia, Garnier & Linker, Åsa Jungnelius, Kaspar Hamacher, Matsubayashi Hosai XVI, Pao Hui Kao, Katherine Huskie, Benoît Maire, Isaac Monté, Didi NG Wing Yin, Päivi Rintaniemi, Bela Silva, Cheng Tsung Feng, Kiki van Eijk, Frederik Vercruysse, Vera Vermeersch, Quentin Vuong, Philipp Weber & Spazio Nobile Editions – Artist’s Monographs and TLmag.
Pierre Charrié His Red Brushed Table Lamp, an exclusive edition for Spazio Nobile, is composed of 20 spontaneous layers of Urushi lacquer, is handcrafted in collaboration with Hanoia Workshop in Vietnam.
Florence Coenraets Her poetic Haikus – feather paintings framed in walnut – echo the essence of seasonal Japanese poetry. Seen at PAD Paris and her solo show Immersions, these works reflect quiet observation and material delicacy.
Marie Corbin Her Calme vases and Sans début, sans fin boxes in painted porcelain with third-fire gold applications reflect an intimate and meditative language.
Vincent Fournier continues his astrobotanical research with Lucens Borealis – Flora Incognita: The Astrobotanical Herbarium, a photographic series recently exhibited at Spazio Nobile and AIPAD New York. The work, featured in The New York Times, imagines a speculative future where science meets fiction in a poetic herbarium of imagined plants.
Foyer Brisé With Echo, the Antwerp-based artist presents sculptural porcelain vessels that reinterpret Chinese porcelain traditions with subtle references to Western pop culture and aesthetics.
Éva Garcia Following her second solo exhibition Taille douce, Garcia’s works Latomies #3 and Corps & Âme remain on view. Her practice merges engraving, sculpture and painting into deeply textural, evocative pieces.
Garnier & Linker Diatomée is a series of molten glass vases cast using the lost-wax technique created by the Parisian duo in exclusivity for Spazio Nobile. Their biomorphic forms allude to seaweeds and phytoplankton, elemental to sustaining life on Earth.
Kaspar Hamacher His iconic Max Chairs, made of fire-sculpted oak and wax-finished, embody primal materiality. He joins The Nature of Wood (Nov 2025 – Jan 2026) trio show with Didi NG Wing Yin and Quentin Vuong.
Matsubayashi Hosai XVI With a dedication to the use of Uji clay (near Kyoto) passed down through generations, Hosai aims to revive the traditional tea ceremony aesthetic while infusing it with new visions of contemporary pottery. Based on the technique of traditional Asahi ware, his Geppaku glaze is part of the tradition since the 14th generation. His fractal shapes and addition of gold are very bold innovations like in this tea bowl (Chawan).
Pao Hui Kao Her Green Urushi Paper Pleats Stool and Lacquer Leaf Tray made of tracing paper, crepe paper, Urushi lacquer and silver kintsugi, are forging new paths between sculpture and collectible functional design.
Katherine Huskie Hand-blown glass forms inspired by marine ecosystems continue to shape Huskie’s acclaimed body of work. Her molten sculptures are now staples of the Spazio Nobile collection.
Åsa Jungnelius Swedish artist unveils a new hot-sculpted glass installation including Queen Helmets and Crackle Vases. This major body of work will be the focus of her solo exhibition at Pera Museum, Istanbul, from September 2025 to January 2026, as part of the Istanbul Art Biennale curated by Elif Kamisli.
Benoît Maire La Chaise du soir by conceptual artist Benoît Maire is part of his functional art pieces shown at Spazio Nobile. The chair, in oak and hornbeam with wicker seating, merges philosophical reflection and refined craft.
Isaac Monté His now-iconic Crystallized Vase continues to evolve. It was the inspiration for Monté’s commission by Dior for crystallized display windows and a series of Lady Dior bags for the brand’s Vienna flagship.
Didi NG Wing Yin Ocean Stool Red by this emerging Hong Kong designer reflects his innovative work in sustainable and emotional design. A LOEWE Craft Prize 2025 Finalist and Dezeen Emerging Designer of the Year, Didi NG will exhibit in the trio show The Nature of Wood alongside Quentin Vuong and Kaspar Hamacher (Nov 2025 – Jan 2026).
Päivi Rintaniemi Silex stoneware sculpture with shamott reveals the Finnish artist’s minimalist and contemplative approach to form and texture.
Bela Silva presents L’Attente du réveil, a new Jacquard tapestry (230 × 130 cm, cotton and linen, ed. 3 + 2 AP), Jacquard woven in Belgium. Inspired by the 18th century vase decor on Portuguese azulejos and based on a recent drawing made in her Lisbon atelier, this poetic composition evokes a blooming bouquet and a reverie of pattern and ornament.
Alongside this work, her large-scale hand-built ceramic sculpture J’Adore Venise, originally commissioned by Homo Faber / Michelangelo Foundation in Venice in 2022 (curated by Stefano Boeri and Jean Blanchaert), will be shown in the grand hallway of The Mix as part of the Monumental Sculpture installation The Rooms, curated by Roland de Lathuy.

Cheng Tsung Feng Circle Mirrors, crafted in bent bamboo, draw on the Taiwanese artist’s background in bamboo ephemeral architecture and art installations. His recent collaborations include Hermès and Bottega Veneta.
Kiki van Eijk The new Sprout lamp series combines Raku ceramic bases with handblown glass made at Royal Leerdam. Kiki van Eijk returns with her partner Joost van Bleiswijk for their third duo show (5 Sep – 16 Nov 2025), curated by Maria Cristina Didero, following Serendipity and A Forest of Collision and Raku.
Frederik Vercruysse His Windows lightboxes, examining architecture and abstraction through the photographic lens announce an upcoming new solo exhibition Panorama: 15 Years of Art Photography.
Quentin Vuong With his Mercure Mirror in Caplain alloy (white gold leaf and palladium), Vuong reflects on material alchemy. He will show alongside Kaspar Hamacher and Didi NG Wing Yin in the trio exhibition The Nature of Wood (Nov 2025 – Jan 2026).
Vera Vermeersch Luci in Movimento, a hand-tufted wool rug or wall tapestry, appears with her Bozzettis – fragments of imagined landscapes inspired by the surroundings of her house La Palude in Piedmont, Italy.
