Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune, both designers and architects, thought of the tea ceremony in Sweden and its social importance, when conceiving this set. The most important thing they had in mind when designing the set was functionality. This criteria is of high importance when living in a cold climate as in Sweden.

The set includes trays in pure brass, copper and blackened steel reversible with Canadian hard maple serving/cutting side. The design is a collaboration between Koivisto, Rune and Mjölk, a gallery located in Toronto Canada, exhibiting works of Japanese and Scandinavian artists.
