Eyes, moons, and cats drift through the carpets of Christoph Hefti, where dreamscapes and masked creatures share the same woven surface. The Swiss textile designer is the subject of The Missing Cat and Other Textile Stories, a large-scale solo show at the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich. It is the museum’s first major exhibition devoted to his work, and it is on view at the Ausstellungsstrasse location through January 3, 2027.
These are the final weeks to apply for the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize 2027. Applications for the 10th anniversary edition of the prize will be accepted until October 15, 2027.
“The work of the ten selected participating designers this year carry forms of tacit, sometimes esoteric knowledge – knowledge embedded in the hand, the body and the material itself,” write Christian and Jade, curators of The Mindcraft Exhibition, which opens on September 23, 2026. The 2nd edition of Craft x Tech was presented at the V&A during London Design Festival 2026, and featured six new collaborations pairing Tokai artisans with international designers and artists. Together, they explored new creative possibilities and produced contemporary works that celebrate the continuing relevance of traditional craftsmanship.
