Stealing the show at this month’s Design Miami, local design agency Giovanni Beltran provided visitors with an immersive showcase. Set against a third and fourth wall screen projecting ever-changing digitised landscapes, a series of benches, ladders, chairs, benches and trays captured the collective imagination of most savvy connoisseurs on pilgrimage to the hallowed fair. Reflecting the Miami design editor’s expanding network of international talents, the Under the Endless Sky exhibition featured worked by recognised names Lex Pott, Deon Rubi and Jonathan Nesci. With a scenography designed by Jonathan Gonzalez, the most striking pieces included Rubi’s Short Bench, produced using outdoor-grade aluminium tubing.
