Rasmus Fenhann and his Japanometry at Galerie Maria Wettergren, first solo show in France
Galerie Maria Wettergren is delighted to present Japanometry, the first solo exhibition for the Danish Rasmus Fenhann in France until 4 July, 2015. Through 12 new works created especially for the Galerie Maria Wettergren, Rasmus Fenhann explores the intricacies of the geometric universe in its small tables and fixtures, masterfully carved from fine woods, reminiscent indeed a synthesis between Japanese spirit and mathematical beauty. This has deeply inspired the artist in Japanese aesthetics is the simplicity, repetition and the purity that he found during his two trips to Japan. This is a clean and an essential beauty of great spiritual dimension with the ideas of effort and pleasure. We recognize the work of the artist from his touch side and the unique and rare side of his work. It is always a pleasure to see his works reunited during an exhibition. It is time to discover the new one and to review the other one.

Our editor in chief had the chance to visit his studio in Copenhagen. What better way to know an artist by visiting his studio first with him.
