Ammann // Gallery
In only a few days, Ammann//Gallery will open a special showcase at Paris Photo Los Angeles (1 to 3 May, 2015). It’s no coincidence that there is a visible architectural essence to most of the artists that Gabrielle Ammann represents. Her background in art history and interior architecture have fundamentally shaped her perspective and curatorial approach. For Paris Photo Los Angeles, she will present works by Hélène Binet, who was recently awarded the Julius Shulman Institue Exellence in Photography Award, and acclaimed conceptual artist Rolf Sachs. Some of Binet’s most recognized works will be highlighted during this event, showing how a Masters like her can transpose complex architectural masterpieces into powerfull photographic compositions – employing the right juxtaposition of light and shadow.
