From 11 to 13 September, Brussels Art Days 2015 is a key event on the contemporary art calendar that every year brings together the city’s most cutting-edge galleries to launch the new season. To continue its success for this 8th edition, BAD has made it possible to involve 30 galleries to celebrate the start of this new art season. One of the highlights of this new edition is an institutional tour proposed by Caroline Dumalin from WIELS – the Brussels Contemporary Art Center. She is also organizing two talks at the Beursschouwburg – Brussels cultural center – on 12 September.

« What distinguishes most of the presentations organized by these spaces (about the institutional tour) – in contrast to the gallery and institutional shows – is that they are not necessarily oriented towards the display of artworks. The visitor will also find performances, screenings, interactive machines, set designs, artist’s books, as well as a host of other events that are not limited to the purely visual and that usually have their place on the margins of an exhibition. » – Caroline Dumalin

The participating galleries are: Aeroplastics, Valérie Bach, Albert Baronian, Catherine Bastide, dépendance, Feizi, Pierre-Marie Giraud, Gladstone, Hopstreet, Xavier Hufkens, Jablonka Maruani Mercier, Rodolphe Janssen, Jozsa, Keitelman, Harlan Levey, Levy.Delval, Greta Meert, Meessen De Clercq, Jan Mot, MOT International, Nathalie Obadia, Office Baroque, Almine Rech, Michel Rein, Sorry We’re Closed, Super Dakota, Micheline Szwajcer, Daniel Templon, Caroline Van HoekIndependent and Jeanroch Dard.

Brussels Art Days 2015 runs from 11 to 13 September 2015.
