The CIAV – Centre International d’Art Verrier – was created in 1992 on the industrial wasteland of glassware Meisenthal in Eastern Mosellan.

Until 19 January 2014, the City of Nancy and the Centre International d’Art Verrier – CIAV Meisenthal present the exhibition “Le Feu Sacré – verre et création contemporain “/ THE SACRED FIRE – glass and contemporary creation, reflecting the new direction Galerie Poirel, now dedicated to contemporary art and the design. Real focus on a major industry of Lorraine – the glass business – this event demonstrates the incredible vitality, between tradition and innovation, regional culture and international culture, contemporary art and design.

On the 1000 m2 Galerie Poirel, this retrospective presents the most significant creations from the workshops: a large selection of glass pieces, objects designed by over sixty international designers and artists.
