Cindy Sherman is an American photographer and film director, best known for her conceptual portraits. Sherman works in series, typically photographing herself in a range of costumes, assuming multiple roles as photographer, director, make-up artist, hairdresser, stylist and of course, model. Her passion for dressing up and changing appearances, inspired make-up brand M.A.C. for the collection ‘Project Cindy’, which is all about transformation and -unconventional- colors.
