Expo: Hidden Heroes + Matter of Time/ Designhuis
That history holds an important position in modern society is evident from the exhibitions Hidden Heroes and Matter of Time on show at the Eindhoven Designhuis until May 15. The expositions are in fact very complementary: Hidden Heroes, an initiative of the Vitra Design Museum in collaboration with Hi-Cone, offers the public a wonderful look into the history of the design of everyday products. And in Matter of Time, the designers of the collective Dutch Invertuals have ‘translated’ the history of the 600 years old beams that once used to be the foundation of the Woenselse Poort (Woensel Gate) in Eindhoven into wonderful, new and contemporary designs.
