Last year, the House of Chanel became one of the privileged sponsors of the Hyères International Fashion and Photography Festival, and this year, to celebrate its 30th birthday, the festival, which will take place 23-27 April 2015, has invited Chanel’s head designer Karl Lagerfeld, who will arrive with his entourage at the Villa Noailles, the magnificent villa designed by the architect Robert Mallet-Stevens in the 1920s. The eminent Karl will be the artistic director for this year’s festival, accompanied by Virginie Viard, the director of the Chanel design studio, who will act as the president of the fashion jury. The photography jury will be presided by Eric Pfrunder, Director of Image, also at Chanel.

The jury has already announced the names of the 10 finalists from 6 different countries: Anna Bornhold (Germany), Christina Braun (Germany), Yiyu Chen (Taiwan), Sophie Harand (France), Heini-Maria Hynynen & Elina Aarela (Finland), Elina Maattanen (Finland), Guillem Rodriguez Bernat (Spain), Sophie Salekari (Finland), Annelie Schubert (Germany -France) et Wieke Sinnige (Netherlands).
