The results of the Young Belgian Art Prize 2013
The first competition for contemporary art in Belgium, the Young Belgian Art Prize, has announced its new laureates. This year’s winners are: Jasper Rigole for the Crowet Prize (25,000 euros), Philippe Van Wolputte and Fabrice Pichat, ING Prize (12,500 euro) and the BOZAR Prize (12,500 euros), and lastly, Felicia Atkinson and Celine Butaye, who share Emile & Stéphy Langui Prize (12,500 euros).
A new initiative, The ING Public’s Choice Award, as part of the Young Belgian Art Prize, has established, which allows the public to choose their favorite finalist of the exhibition. The ING Public’s Choice Award was created in order to help support independent artistic careers with a prize comprising a total sum of 6.250€
