During Milan Design Week 2015, renowned British designer Tom Dixon will take over the Cinema (an abandoned theatre in the heart of Milan) to showcase his latest designs, such as Melt, Lens or Wingback – through a series of bespoke installations – featued as part of Designjunction Edit Milan).

Melt is a globe-like hanging lamp creating a mesmerising melting-hot-blown-glass effect – adorned with copper, chrome and gold detailing. Born from Dixon’s collaboration with Swedish design collective Front, Lens looks like draws inspiration from the o Fresnel lens used in lighthouses, but is also reminiscent of geologically rare crystals. Prismatic lenses explode project the source light in all directions. Wingback represents a series of British classics redefined for the 21st century. The updated collection includes iconic chair, ottoman and sofa. Some of which feature solid oak, copper legs and in a wide range, Kvadrat fabrics.

Tom Dixon will welcome visitors from 15 to 19 April 2015 at The Cinema – Via Pietro Mascagni, 6 Milan, Italy
