The French industrial designer Matali Crasset has been working on a new collection inspired by the contemporary art space Vent des Forêts, in the woods in the north east of France. The project is particularly interesting because it touches on the subject of what a designer can do to create awareness for a specific place. The objects are inspired by the region, made from wood from local trees, produced by local craftsmen and the profit goes back to the art space for further development. Moreover, for this collection Crasset designed a set of wooden tableware which will be exclusively launched on the design platform CROWDY HOUSECrasset chose this design marketplace to be the premiere platform for this collection because of the principles and the nature of the platform. This platforme is dedicated to democratizing the design industry by providing a place where designers can directly sell to costumers, with low commissions and a lot of exposure.

The profit of the Matali Crasset sales will be fully dedicated to support and develop Vent des Forêts.
