Selections from the Ciel Mes Bijoux Jewelry Collection
Recently on offer by auction house Artcurial, the “Ciel mes Bijoux” collection spans the Golden Age of the parurier, from the mid-1930’s to the late 70’s.
This Monday, 4 July, in Paris, the auction “Haute Couture & Fashion Arts” comprised the sale of two important vintage collections. Following the afternoon session featuring pieces from the archives of renowned stylist Elisabeth de Senneville, the evening saw the auction of jewelry from the collection of Godelieve and Patrick Sigal. The latter collection, “Ciel mes Bijoux”, spans the Golden Age of the parurier, from the mid-1930’s to the late 70’s. Among the rarities on offer were significant pieces by the likes of Roger Jean-Pierre, Maison Gripoix, Roger Scemama, and Robert Goossens for Christian Dior, Givenchy, Balenciaga, and Chanel.
Organized by its Hermès Vintage & Fashion Arts department, Artcurial reports that the sale was very well received by French and international collectors, with two-thirds of the lots selling for a total of over €500,000. This auction marks the new positioning of the Hermès Vintage & Fashion Arts department, following the appointment of Pénélope Blanckaert as director in January of this year.
