This duo always adapts classic elements. Tea cups cast from pre-World War II doll moulds highlight Ende’s approach – bespoke limited edition China incorporating classic elements with a contemporary twist. Couple Natalia Gruszecka and Jakub Kwarciński’s venture was born out of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design Wrocław, where both studied ceramics and glass respectively. “The big moment was when I visited the Ćmielów Porcelain Factory,” Gruszecka explains. “I fell in love with the material and haven’t used anything else since.” Employing e-commerce platforms allows for an entirely in-house and handmade process – from raw mixtures and casting master moulds to hand-painting and shipping. “The material tells the shape how to behave,” Gruszecka describes.
